The iPhone Duo comes in eight configurations: four storage sizes in two colours. Here is the full line-up, what each costs, and how to choose. That choice also matters if you are trying to find one in stock.
Colours
There are two:
- Star White
- Night Sky
Both cost the same at every storage size. Apple describes the design as having a titanium frame and hinge housing. Colour is personal, but if you are trying to get a phone quickly, being open to either colour roughly doubles your chances when stock is scarce.
Storage and prices
| Storage | US | UK |
|---|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,999 | £1,999 |
| 512GB | $2,199 | £2,199 |
| 1TB | $2,599 | £2,599 |
| 2TB | $3,199 | £3,199 |
US prices exclude sales tax; UK prices include VAT. Other countries have their own pricing on their local Apple website.
How to choose storage
You cannot upgrade storage later, so pick for the next few years, not just today.
- 256GB: enough for most people, especially if you use iCloud Photos and stream music and video.
- 512GB: a good step up if you shoot a lot of video, download films for travel or play large games.
- 1TB: for heavy video shooters and people who want large libraries stored on the phone.
- 2TB: for professionals capturing large amounts of high-resolution video on the device.
A quick way to decide: check how much storage you use on your current phone (Settings > General > iPhone Storage) and allow for growth.
Part numbers, and why they matter
Every configuration has its own Apple part number, and those numbers differ by country. Apple's pickup availability is tracked per part number, per store. So a store can have 512GB Night Sky but no 512GB Star White.
That is why iPhone Duo Finder offers two kinds of alert:
- Any iPhone Duo (£5): we email you when your store shows any of the eight configurations.
- My configuration (£10): you pick storage and colour, and we only email you when that exact one appears.
Both are one-off fees for the alert service. Neither is a reservation, and nobody can guarantee you a phone.
Which configuration is easiest to find?
We do not know, and anyone claiming to know at launch is guessing. Apple does not publish how many of each configuration it ships. What we can say is that flexibility helps. If you would be happy with two or three configurations, an "any" alert or checking each option widens your chances.
Other things to know
- eSIM only: check your carrier supports eSIM.
- A20 Pro chip in every configuration; storage does not change performance in normal use.
- Same cameras and displays across all eight: 48MP Fusion and ultra wide cameras, 7.6-inch inner and 5.4-inch outer displays.
